This exhibition at Bihar Museum offers a retrospective view of the work of printmaker Rakhi Kumari, spanning more than three decades of practice. Moving from her early woodcuts and lithographs of the 1990s to recent works in acrylic, ink and mixed media on canvas, it traces her growth as an artist and her sustained spirit of experiment. Works such as Self Portrait, Pratibimb (Reflection), My Home, Freedom and Back to Nature explore the bond between people and nature, the changing textures of social life and questions of women's identity and freedom. Trained at the College of Arts and Crafts, Patna, and at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, and with doctoral research on the mural traditions of Mithila, Rakhi Kumari draws folk sensibility and contemporary printmaking into conversation. The exhibition invites visitors to follow that dialogue across her career.
